Now more than ever, organizations are looking at how to motivate and manage their teams in a period of change and uncertainty. Case studies have proven that high performing teams have a greater impact on results and that team coaching helps create high performing teams.
Our 3-day certification program is for experienced coaches, leaders, managers, and organizational consultants who want to help raise the bar in team performance. The time is ripe in organizational development to differentiate team coaching from other forms of team or group development and to extend the definition and body of theory and practice of team coaching.
This three day International Systemic Team Coaching course is for executive coaches, organizational consultants, leaders, managers, human resource professionals, medical team leaders and anyone seeking to develop a team coaching perspective. Accredited with the ICF for 19 hours CCE, we provide coaching certification in Boston, Providence, Portland, Manchester, Nashua and throughout New England. We also provide this program in-house for companies interested. The workshop is part of AoEC continued Coach Learning Programs Boston.
Team coaching is the next big step in helping companies lift their team performance. But what is team coaching and how is it different from coaching individual team members, team facilitation, team building, team development or action learning sets can only be explained in our 3-day program.
From the coaching/consulting point of view, a key component of our approach is seeing the team as the client and viewing individual members – including the leader, as a subset of that client system. This makes contracting for confidentiality an interesting, delicate, and controversial subject.
From the leadership and management perspective, we place a lot of emphasis on stakeholder engagement, internally and externally as well as paying attention to the wider environmental context - the systemic context that effects team performance.
John Leary-Joyce of AoEC in partnership with Peter Hawkins author of Leadership Team Coaching (Kogan Page limited ) have created an integrative model of team coaching. This workshop is based on this systemic approach, which demands a much wider range of competencies and a better understanding of team dynamics.

- Gain exposure to psychological lens’s or models to look at group functioning – Gestalt, Psychodynamics, TA, CBC
- Focus on Self as Instrument – utilizing physical senses, rational, intuition and body-sense as the ‘data collector’ and sense maker.

Here is an overview of what you will learn:
Over the three days, we will:
- Provide rich didactic context in which we discuss and debate different aspect of teamwork and team coaching
- Use business role-plays and simulations to evoke the experiences of working in/as a team
- Facilitate exploration about the nature of leadership and followership both individual and collective through movement exercises
- Take you through an experience of sculpting and constellations
- Be in a peer supervision group exploring a team you are working in/with using each of the Hawkins 5 Disciplines
- Work with our own large group process as a way of engaging live with the interpersonal dynamics and psychological models
The systemic coaching certification is unique to AoEC, and has been developed and taught worldwide. AoEC has been providing coach certification and leadership training since 1999. Our staff has international experience and all are experienced coaches, leadership trainers, psychologists, and/or experienced C level executives. As a result, he has the expertise as a coach to focus on improving business capability and in coaching executives/managers/partners on how to develop their personal competence to lead their businesses more successfully.
He is an experienced coach trainer and supervisor and an accredited coach with Association of Professional Executive Coaches & Supervisors (APECS) and the Association for Coaching (AC).
Kimberli Lewis has over 20 years C level management experience across multiple industries. She is a certified executive coach and systematic team coach. She also brings with her 20 years of international management experience working and/or living in over 18 countries. She has degrees from Webster University, George Washington University, Harvard University and studied executive coaching at Henley Business School in London and has completed the Masters program in Systemic Team Coaching at the Academy of Executive Coaching. Kimberli has been active in AoEC programs since 2012 and joined as a partner in 2014 with the goal of delivering quality certification programs in the United States.
Kimberli is an American national. Kimberli is also the owner of Global Business Therapy s.r.o and Ponytale Talk, which specializes in executive coaching and leadership programs for women. Kimberli serves in active positions on several European Boards.
Carlos is an executive coach and leadership consultant who works internationally in multi-cultural environments. He is an expert in leadership, high performance teams, group dynamics, team dysfunction, and change.
He has 20 years international board level and senior management experience. He has worked with the best consulting firms and financial service institutions in New York, London and Latin America.
Carlos joined AoEC as a Partner in 2015. He leads the New York Office and his main goal is to deliver the AoEC accredited programs in Systemic Team Coaching for Organizations and Individuals.
Carlos is a highly experienced professional, leadership and team coach. He trained at The Tavistock Institute, and The AoEC in London. Carlos is currently studying clinical approaches to leadership and change at The INSEAD Business School in France
as part of the Executive Master in Consulting, Coaching & Change.
He is a Founding Fellow of the Harvard Institute of Coaching and associate member of the International Society for the Psychoanalytic Study of Organizations.
